The firewalk has been a major tool in most of the dramatic transforrnations I’ve seen. One example that comes to mind is a young single woman who was living on welfare with her two toddlers. Her first firewalk was a jaunt across a 50-foot-long cinder bed of fiery embers. That’s pretty unusual for a first-time firewalk. Most firewalks are no longer than 12 feet-20 feet at the most. When I saw this lady walk over 50 feet of hot coals on her very first walk, I was impressed. “This is a pretty gutsy lady,” I thought.

As the months rolled by, she joined us for a number of other firewalks. She even attended the one in 1987 where we set the Guinness Book of World Records for the world’s hottest firewalk. That was her last firewalk. I recall her saying she intended to take the principles of the firewalk and apply those principles to all areas of her life.

She went back to school and graduated from college with a 4.0 grade point average! She’s no longer living on welfare. She’s now happily married. She and her husband have three kids. Her transformation was remarkable. She went from being on welfare to graduating from college with honors. She didn’t let fear limit her. She had the courage not only to think about walking on fire, she actually did it. Then she applied the principles she used to walk on fire to create the life of her dreams. She put more to life and she got more out of life.

With long-term exposure to the firewalk, you realize that the firewalk is only a metaphor. A metaphor is an analogy in which one idea or activity represents another, something that stands for something else. Firewalking represents your life. We “firewalk” every day of our lives by facing fear and meeting the challenges life has to offer.

I’ve heard people say, “No, I don’t want to do that.” Later they change their minds and attend a firewalking seminar. Sometimes you hear people say, “I have no desire to do that. You won’t get me to do that in a million years.” In a firewalking workshop, people learn how to master their states of mind. When the mind is conquered, the emotions are in check and you can walk on fire. You can use the same techniques to achieve anything you want
to achieve in life.

One of the biggest challenges I face is getting past people’s fears and prejudices. Firewalking produces RESULTS in people’s lives. Most people are so conditioned to fear the fire that they react when you bring up “firewalking.” They aren’t really listening because they’re reacting emotionally out of fear and old programming. The key to the whole thing is an open mind, allowing for the possibilities. Techniques that allow people to walk on fire directly apply to achievement in all areas of people’s lives.

Have you noticed that so many of the “sales guru’s” are promoting how to persuade people, convince people, use marketing tricks, etc?

What!?

I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to be trying to trick anyone into a sale, and if you need to- you better take another look at what you are selling….if it stands on it’s own merit- why do you need to persuade, convince, or trick people into buying?

So many people out there are still buying into the old model of from the head sales strategies that need to be thrown away. Start treating people with respect and dignity and trust they can make a buying decision on their own without your pressure.

Need time to think about it? Go ahead! You don’t hear that one much!

Instead, it is … you need to buy now or all of these will be gone! I am cleaning out the store- get yours before they are all gone! No- you can’t come back again after thinking about it-this is a one time offer…

Have you been worrying lately about the economy, your job or business, your income?

Well, you are not alone. As a coach, speaker and trainer it is the common theme among everyone I am speaking to or working with lately.

But what can you do about it?

That all depends on your situation. If you are in business, ask yourself , “do I need to change what I am doing? Is it working for me still? ”

Often because something worked in the past, and it is what we know how to do, we hold onto that even as the ship is sinking, because we want to believe this is all just temporary, and it will pass.

Those that are the most successful are quick to adapt to changing circumstances and changing times.

Ask yourself, what do I need to change? Maybe it is your marketing strategy, maybe it is your model, maybe it is your whole business.

A great example is the automobile industry in North America. While the Japanese auto manufacturers were quick to see the coming trends and adapt, North American Auto makers were still pumping out SUV’s and big trucks, refusing to see the changing needs of the marketplace and adapt until it was too late.

Change can be scary, but you don’t have to do it alone. A great coach can be there by your side, giving feedback, and helping you to make the changes you need to make, or to see the changes before it is too late.

If you read my last posting you will know that I teach something totally contrary to the so called “law of attraction” – that I do not buy into this whole “attraction” theory ,but believe rather in a higher guidance system that sees what is coming, looks into the future if you will, and prompts you to take the neccesary action steps to bring that into your life, or prepare you for it’s arrival.

Some call this psychic ability, some call it a sixth sense, some call it connection to all that is, some simply call it intuition. Whatever you call it- it can be your guide and allow you to flow in your life and watch your life become easier and almost magical in how things begin to happen.

An example of this in my own life is when I was in Hawaii 5 years ago I was working out at the 24 Hour Fitness in Waikiki. I saw a man standing out on the lanai ( that is a balcony to the mainlanders reading this and I just felt something resonating from this man, a strength of presence, a sense of purpose, I am not sure what to call it- but it was very strong and very real.  My intuition was humming-kind of like spiderman when he gets a hit with his “spider sense” . ( For all you comic book fans out there..)

I went up to this man just to tell him that there was something about him, an I just wanted to meet him and shake his hand. As it turned out, this man was Barack Obama.

Follow your intuition, your guidance, for it sees the future ( as all time, past,present and future co-exist at the same time) and will always guide you.

Many people around the world are caught up in practicing a so called universal law and principle that is not only incorrect, it can actually lead  people into failing to create their dreams.

 I am here to tell you that the law of attraction is not real, and that the teachers of this , while good intentioned, have gotten it all backwards!

 Here is how it really works:

We do not “attract” or create anything. Period. As Quantum Physics has begun to prove, time and space are not linear as we once believed, but rather more of a circle, all of it happening at the same time. And we as human beings have the abilty to see into that time stream and see past, future or present, it matters not- all of it is in essence “happening” at the same time.

Remote viewers know this to be true, and I have indeed experienced it myself. All past “prophecies” were simply someone with strong sense of the higher faculty looking forward into time and reporting back what they have seen.

All of us do this-and here is where the confusion arises around the law of attraction. It is a case of which came first, the chicken or the egg. If we call our pre-sentience the chicken, and the law of attraction the egg, then the chicken most definitely comes first.

We all have pre-cognitive ability, and whether you call this the 6th sense, the 5th element, or tapping into higher conciousness, we all have it and we all do it. Let me give you an example.

The law of attraction says that because you decided you wanted a new red sports car and focused on that with emotion, felt it, imagined it, you “attracted “to yourself the circumstances neccesary to obtain the car, in essence, “attracted “the car into your life.

Here is how it really works:

Your “higher self”  or pre-cognitive sense looked ahead into the future and saw that you were driving a new red sports car, and saw the circumstances that would happen in order for you to get it. So-it begins to give you promptings and images in your mind of this red sports car, and you start to desire it. Now you take the actions described above and think therefore that you have “atttracted” this car into your life, when in reality you saw it coming and took the actions you were guided to take to prepare for it, guided by your higher , or pre-cognitive self.

The same is true when you think of someone and the phone rings and it is them calling you. You did not “attract” them to call you by thinking about them, you thought about them because they were already going to call you and you saw it coming!

You can see perhaps that if people start trying to practice the law of attraction, making dream charts and visualizing all sorts of things they think they want, that unless they are really being guided by their higher self, intuition, whatever you want to call it- they will fail to obtain them.  That is why often people DO obtain things they place on their dream charts, but not ALL things, becasue somewhere in there when they are making it they are following guidance of their higher self in what to place upon the board.

No one will be 100% right in interpreting and being guided by their higher self at all times, but as you practice listening and trusting and following the prompts, you will find your life will begin to take on a much smoother and easier flow, because you are moving with the flow of the river of time and as a curve comes up ahead, your higher self will see it coming and direct you to take appropriate action.

I am making it my mission to debunk the so called “law of attraction” and empower people to access their own true power inside, and know that they do not need to try and “attract” anything, and that it is not possible anyway- all that you need to do is listen, follow the promts , take the appropriate action towards aquiring what you begin to desire ,and trust that what is yours is coming to you.

In today’s world, with a topsy turvey economy, people fearful of losing their jobs and life savings, so much uncertainty about the future, how does the average person keep a positive focus, and remain hopeful about what is coming?

 When I teach the QSG Firewalk Experience seminar, participants walk across an actual bed of red hot coals, in their barefeet. The analogy of the experience is that whatever challenge they face in life is never really as bad as their mind wants to make it out to be. Fears have a way of distorting reality and creating shadows where there are none. They can then take the experience and use it as a reference point for the rest of their lives when they come up against a challenge that is causing them fear.

And the truth is, that as long as you are alive and in this world, you will be facing challenging situations, time and time again. That is why I say that firewalking is a full time job. You are facing old beliefs about your abilities and self worth every time you step outside your comfort zone or are forced to take on a challenge you never asked for. When you have firewalked and have that experience as a reference point, you can now just look at every one of these challenges as a new firewalk- and you know that you have already done it successfully- so it can be done.

So keep on firewalking your way through life, and you will keep on moving past your fears, seeing opportunity where others do not see it, and you will always reach the other side, stronger, more empowered, and ready for the next challenge.

My mentor once gave us all a personal mantra for life in his program called Warrior Camp -and it is one I will now share with you……..

 ”Bring it on!!”

You have not heard from me in a little while-I have been “on the road” on a journey of epic proportions, and a full on transformation of my heart and my soul.

It is amazing how we can fall into a pattern of behaviour and not even see it, until it either destroys everything we hold most precious, or we have some sort of cathartic experience which acts to wake us up before we go “over the edge”.

I have had that experience recently- and though I did not plunge into the darkness, it was definitely a screeching halt with two wheels over the edge.

But here is the rub- what is it that keeps us from falling back into the old patterns? Accountability my friends-accountability.

Why is coaching such a powerful tool ? This is exactly why- because it provides an accountabilty partner for you who is not only your friend, but will be both gentle and firm in not letting you hide in excuses or self-sabatoge, not let you back slide into old ways of thinking or acting that will take you right back to that headlong flight for the edge.

Coaches are committed to your success, to your breakthroughs, and to you living your best life possible for you- and we will not stop and relent on you until you step into being who you really are, into your potential, and your greatness.

I am of the opinion that everyone needs a coach- and if you do not have one-look into it and explore the option, because if you are willing and show up to do the work, to be a  partner in your own success , it will change your life forever-that is a promise.
